Ernesto Aldover
Ernesto F. Aldover is the founding member of the law firm, having formed the firm in 2002, after eleven years as an attorney representing financial institutions, developers and both large and small business entities in both litigation and real estate and business transactions. He attended the University of California at Berkeley as an undergraduate, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics in 1988. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Aldover attended Santa Clara University School of Law in Santa Clara. He graduated in 1991 after having served on the school's Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Aldover participated in the schools comparative law program, attending Oxford University, to study comparative real property law which highlighted the differences between English and American real property law.

In more than a decade of legal practice, Mr. Aldover has concluded more than twenty state, federal court and binding arbitrations to verdict, involving business disputes, real estate and probate litigation.

Mr. Aldover has served on the board of the Pilipino-American Bar Association; and is currently a member of the Real Estate and Litigation sub-sections of both the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Aldover's emphasis is real estate and business law.


Emery Laiw
Emery A. Laiw joined the law firm in 2005 after previous experience in intellectual property and securities litigation. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Johns Hopkins University, studying both English and Pre-Medicine. His subsequent degrees include a Master of Public Health and a Certificate in Biomedical Sciences from Loma Linda University's School of Public Health (the youngest graduate) and Graduate School, respectively. Most recently, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School. He has also studied at the California Institute of Technology (at age 14); the University of California, Los Angeles; the University of California, San Diego; and the University of Bologna, the world's oldest law school. While in school, he served as Student Council President, Student Senator, Academic Council Representative, and Department Student Representative.

Mr. Laiw is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California; the United States District Court, Northern and Central Districts; the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the United States Tax Court. This year he seeks admission to the District of Columbia, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker and a Registered Environmental Health Specialist.

Prior to joining the law firm, Mr. Laiw's work experience included the California Attorney General's and the Los Angeles City Attorney's Offices and a policy internship on Capitol Hill. His legal practice has included commercial and residential real estate, intellectual property, business law, securities litigation, environmental law, and criminal prosecution. Mr. Laiw also volunteers at the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association, California Young Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association. With Mr. Aldover, Mr. Laiw seeks to actively emphasize and expand the firm's practice into real estate, business, and intellectual property law.
